ESPN Tells 65 Million Americans, We Don't Want You As A Customer
Remember the days when sports was entertainment? Stockton to Malone! Bradshaw to Swann! No politics. No anti-American sentiment. Just good old fashion fun. And yet here we are today, with one of the biggest entertainment segments of America being turned into the bully pulpit of the liberal, globalist agenda. Don't get me wrong, I am as politically driven as they come. But even I need a break from all of the political drama in America.
Sports was that escape. But not anymore. ESPN has now embraced the hatred and divisive comments of anchor Jemele Hill calling Trump a White Supremacist. The truth is far from it. Additionally, last year, the NFL allowed Colin Kapernick to take a knee and disrespect The United States of America, the troops who have fought and died for this nation and for the very founding document, the Constitution itself. I wavered all season and watched fewer games last year than I ever before have. The reason why I kept watching was because of Jerry Jones. He made it clear that his team and staff would stand at attention during the national anthem at every game. (No, people don't have the right to freedom of speech in the workplace. They can be fired for it.)
Jemele Hill is plain and simply ignorant. That's right. Let me explain this to you Jemele. First off, the peaceful people that you sympathize with, Antifa, came armed to the teeth to do what these enabled basement dwelling children do; riot, loot and light stuff on fire. The man that drove the car was James Alex Fields. Did you happen to see all of the video footage of the attack Jemele? Your wonderful loving group Antifa began to attack his car as he was driving down the street with bats and clubs.
Your group has provided Mr. Fields with a strong defense. There is a high probability that the defense will say he panicked and feared for his life and was just trying to get away from Antifa's attack. But please Jemele, level accusations against President Trump for calling out the obvious, that there was violence on both sides as well as peaceful protesters on both sides. Continue to be ignorant.
A White Supremacist, Jemele, is someone who wants to segregate the blacks from the whites. Trump has never advocated that. You are confusing him with the Democratic Party. But we have already established that you are ignorant or just plain stupid. (I'm still trying to figure that one out).
The fact that ESPN is allowing you to continue employment with your divisive and hate filled speech, has made me cancel my cable subscription today. No longer will I have ESPN coming into my home or on any device. ESPN is deleted.
ESPN has sent a strong message to anyone who supported Donald Trump in the election, and in fact any American who leans right of center that they do not need, nor do they want you as a customer. They tweeted that out loud and clear. So, I have now freed ESPN of any attachment that I have had with them in the past and I would be willing to say that their revenue stream and viewership will continue to decline, but at a more rapid rate.
