The Stage Show We Call Kahn

August 18, 2016 - Brenda Salazanger - Staff Writer

When the Kahn’s stepped onto the stage in Philadelphia at the Democratic National Convention, they had no reason to believe that they were two pawns in the DNC’s propaganda machine.  They unwittingly became accomplices to the Clinton campaign’s efforts to bait Republican Nominee, Donald J. Trump.

At that moment when Khizr Kahn pulled out a copy of the Constitution and questioned Donald Trump, “Let me ask you, have you even read the US Constitution?”  You could almost hear cheers erupting in the suite and campaign headquarters of Hillary Clinton.  It was more powerful then the campaign could have asked for.  Indeed a brilliant move that will be studied and mirrored in future campaigns to be certain.  Unfortunately, Hillary used Mr. Kahn and his grief, to further her agenda.

Trump took the bait like Clinton had hoped.  But he took the bait not because he was incensed over Kahn’s remarks, instead, he took the bait for political opportunity.  Since virtually all of the GOP’s major donors refuse to fund the Trump campaign, he is keeping himself stage center by continually making controversial remarks.

Has Donald Trump read the Constitution?  Of course he has.

Khizr Kahn continued, “I will gladly lend you my copy.  In this document, look for the words liberty and equal protection under the law.”

Now I know that you, Mr. Kahn are an immigration attorney.  I shouldn’t be explaining the simple truths of the Constitution of The United States of America to you, but in the interest of truth, perhaps I need to.  You see Mr. Kahn, The Constitution is written for and in behalf of the citizens of this great country.  It is not written to people who are citizens of other nations.  It’s not written to refugees, or political prisoners of other countries.  That sacred document is only written for American citizens.

But while Clinton was using Khizr Kahn for her political advantage, Kahn was likewise using Clinton and the DNC to further his own personal agenda.  One that was probably more steeped in his finances than his son’s sacrifice to our nation.

As previously stated, Khizr Kahn is an immigration attorney.  Now here is the interesting part of Kahn’s deception.  If Trump is elected, his immigration policies could drastically cut into Kahn’s livelihood.  Especially if he specializes in Muslim immigrants.  Or perhaps even E-2 or EB-5 programs.  Kahn’s income would most likely be significantly reduced.

The E-2 and EB-5 programs, which Kahn specializes in, are for foreigners who want to invest in American companies just to get a Green Card and circumvent many of the laborious immigration laws.  Those individuals instead, would be vetted much more stringently for ties to radical Islam, and particularly if those immigrants came out of certain nations in the middle east.

I believe it was Mr. Kahn who said in Philadephia, “Donald Trump consistently smears the character of Muslims.”  Let’s be honest Mr. Kahn, Muslims smear the character of Muslims.  Do we need to refresh your memory?  The World Trade Center attack?  The attack at Fort Hood?  The attack at the nightclub in Orlando?  The attack on Benghazi?  How about San Bernardino?  Chattanooga, Tennessee?  Morganton, North Carolina?  Moore, Oklahoma?  Do we need to site more attacks perpetrated by radical Islamic extremists?  Those a just a fraction of the attacks on American soil by Muslims.

Should we talk about the beheadings by ISIS?  The drowning by ISIS?  Lighting people on fire by ISIS?  Throwing homosexuals off of tall buildings by ISIS?  And let’s not forget all the kindness the “immigrants” in Europe have shown those countries.  You get the point.  We all get the point.

And let’s not forget this statement made by Mr. Kahn.  “He vows to build walls and ban us from this country.”

Mr. Kahn, a country is defined by it’s laws and borders.  America is not just some place that people think they have a right to come to.  It is a privilege to come to this nation and a greater privilege to be allowed to become a citizen.  Being an attorney, Mr. Kahn, you surprise me by the apparent lack of your understanding of our Constitution.  Unless of course you were just using talking points to get Hillary Clinton elected and keep your cash flow intact.

The Constitution is the basis of all of the laws of this land.  Congress passes laws and any law that is unconstitutional is struck down by the courts.  That’s how our laws work Mr. Kahn.  Congress passed USC 1182, which gives the president the right to impose bans for short periods, on immigrants coming to America.  Mr. Trump would not be the the first to use this law, if he chose to use it.  This law is used when National Security is at risk.  Any rational human being cannot say that radical Islam is not a threat to America.  It is.

On behalf of a grateful nation, your son’s sacrifice can never be repaid.  Because of his sacrifice and the sacrifice of the countless men and women before him, the Constitution of The United States still stands today and allows each of us freedoms known to few in the rest of the world.
